Participating Students Receive:  

  • A foundation in Spanish that will enhance their further language development and future fluency, both in their formal classwork in middle and high school and in their communities

  • The ability to advance to higher level coursework upon entering ninth or tenth grades, thus ensuring that students will be on an “AP” (Advanced Placement) track and will be eligible for high school literature courses in Spanish

  • A basis for an expanded perspective on the world and the ability to eventually participate as leaders in an increasingly global and interconnected world

  • The inner confidence derived from taking on a challenge and exploring the unknown, including making new and potentially life-long friendships
